Flu vaccinations
***Please contact the pharmacy to reserve your Autumn 2010 vaccination***
If you are over 65 years old or have a chronic illness please phone the surgery on 871 210 to make an appointment. “Chronic Illnesses” include asthma, diabetes, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, being on long term prednisolone tablets, not having a spleen, etc.
Karen at Aberlour Pharmacy will start her Flu Vaccination Clinic once all the flu vaccinations have been supplied to the Medical Practice for the “High Priority” patients.
Vaccinations at the pharmacy are free of charge for NHS employees and “designated staff working in a local authority social care setting or as a private health care provider” (pop in to the pharmacy and we will try and see if that is you! We might need a dictionary.)
Private Vaccinations
Private vaccinations re available at £20 for anyone who wants to reduce their risk of having to take time off sick this winter.
If you are supposed to have your vaccination at the medical centre, because you are over 65 or have a chronic illness, but you genuinely, absolutely cannot attend, perhaps because you work away from home Monday to Friday, contact the pharmacy and we may be able to give you your vaccine at a time to suit you.
H5N1 (“Swine Flu”) Vaccinations are being distributed through medical centres only at present. If they become available through pharmacies we will offer this service as well.
Please phone 871 279 for more information about flu vaccinations.
