NHS24 provide healthcare when medical practices are closed. The pharmacist can talk to NHS 24 on your behalf on Saturdays. This saves you waiting to be called back and having to explain your problem to many different call centre staff. The pharmacist can make you an appointment to be seen by a Doctor at Dr Gray's, ask for you to be seen at home, ask for a prescription to be faxed to the pharmacy or whatever other measures he / she feels are required.
