Smoking is an expensive habit that many people would love to give up!
The cold, snow and dark evenings do not make it much fun stepping out from pubs or restaurants to smoke either. NHS smoking cessation support is available at Aberlour Pharmacy without an appointment. Each months supply of patches, gum, inhalator, etc costs one prescription charge - £4 until 31st March.
If you get free NHS prescriptions then you also get free Nicotine Replacement products.
No smoking cessation scheme or product has a 100% success rate, but we are very proud of the number of people in the area that we have helped to stop smoking. It hasn't always worked at the first attempt, but working together we often crack the habit! It's a team effort, you, the nicotine replacement products and the pharmacist.
If you would like to discuss stopping smoking the pharmacist would be delighted to see you – no appointment is required.
If patches, gum or any other type of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is right for you this will be prescribed by the pharmacist on the NHS.
